Job Descriptions:
- Provides safe and reliable transportation service to passengers by operating a non emergency medical van with a fixed or changing route.
- Report any maintenance issues to Maintenance in accordance with Transport Care Services procedure and does not operate an unsafe vehicle.
- Reports to duty on time and maintains assigned route on time but in a safe manner.
- Physically assists passengers in evacuation of the vehicle in case of emergency.
- Immediately reports and any accident or incident per Transport Care Services policy.
- Informs all appropriate personnel of problems and procedures.
- Keeps the interior of the assigned vehicle clean and presentable.
- Presents a neat and professional personal appearance always.
- Ensures vehicle is properly fueled according to facility procedures.
- Completes all required paperwork (including route change sheets, vehicle repair requests, etc.…) and submit to the appropriate authority in a timely manner.
- Maintains a cooperative attitude with fellow employees, supervisors, customers, and passengers while always promoting Transport Care Service goodwill.
- Prepares vehicle for inclement weather conditions, including scraping or cleaning windows, applying tire chain.
- Safely and efficiently utilizes vehicle equipment, including wheelchair lifts, radios and emergency equipment.
- Other assigned duties.
Special Requirements:
- Must have experience transporting senior and/or disabled citizens in accordance with pre-arranged appointments and schedules.
- Must be able to provide individualized assistance/accommodation to senior and or disabled passengers by utilizing wheelchair lifts, seats and other special access necessary to affect a safe, and secure and comfortable ride.
- Must ensure that individuals with disabilities have adequate time to complete boarding or disembarking from the vehicle.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must possess, or be able to obtain, a valid state license and other requires certification to operate a company vehicle.
- Must meet physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening; as a safety-sensitive employee, will be subject to random substance abuse screening under Transport Care Services.
- Must satisfactorily complete and pass all training and attend safety meetings and in-service meetings to remain qualified.
- Extensive knowledge of traffic rules and regulations,
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and assist passengers when necessary.
- Must have a high degree of attention and considerable dexterity in the control of vehicles such as paratransit vans.
- Must practice defensive driving always and avoid vehicular and industrial accidents by practicing safe driving and work habits.
- fCompliance with all applicable company, federal, state, county, district, and contract specific Driver requirements.

Transport Care Services is seeking an Operations Manager will provide support, leadership and direction to assigned operating location to ensure delivery of annual business plans. He/she will control the daily operation of our transportation contract, in compliance with the policies of the contracting agency and in conformance with company procedures. The Operations Manager is primarily responsible for but not limited to:
- Effectively manage on-time performance and driver availability.
- Effectively manage all call center functions.
- Effectively manage customer relations through both direct contact and outreach programs.
- Identify, select, train and mentor location staff.
- Effectively and frequently communicate with location staff and support team members.
- Assist in overseeing safety and training programs, plans and processes to ensure compliance with company, contract and regulatory requirements.
- Contributes to maintain the safety culture of the division.
- Maintain client contact routinely to meet or exceed expectations.
- Assist with conducting periodic departmental audits.
- Daily, weekly and monthly review of key operational metrics.

We are seeking drivers to work with us on our Veteran’s Affairs (VA) contract. Drivers will be required to transport our veterans in wheelchairs to and from medical appointments in the Columbia, Florence, Greenville/Spartanburg, and surrounding areas. Hours vary, with some start times as early at 5:00 am and end times as late as 7:00 pm. We provide training, uniform shirts, a vehicle and radio communication. We also offer a competitive salary, with paid holidays, sick leave and vacation. The ideal candidate will have 5 plus years driving experience, a good drivers record, clean background check, be articulate and compassionate. Drivers will also be required to operate a motorized lift (we will train). Prior transport experience is preferred.
